This team isnt winning games either way... He's been the engine all season.....What does that tell you? Maybe its time to rebuild the engine...

You know Trae isn't the issue with this team.  It's OK to admit that.

We just have players who are not tough enough or skilled enough to play at a high level every night.  Trae's not the one getting torched on defense tonight, so you and the others point to Trae not shooting well or scoring well enough.

Our wings are getting killed tonight.

Without Clint, man that lane is wide open. I think it's fair to say the biggest difference is Capela had star impact last year, hell, better than Trae's and this year, his impact is just good and that's not good enough. Capela was the difference.

We cut it to 14 when he was attacking.   He goes out . . lead is back over 20.

He's the offensive engine of the team.  And I want that engine going full speed every game, no matter how upset some other less talented offensive players get.  They can't even roll the car down the street, so let Trae be the engine.

The same criticism of Trae Young's play when he was at Oklahoma is the same as his play with the Hawks.  He gonna put up numbers, but the team is gonna be bad. Its not efficient basketball.

No. 4 Oklahoma on Saturday lost its second consecutive game to an unranked opponent, falling 83-81 in overtime on the road against Bedlam rival Oklahoma State. While everyone's favorite freshman scored a career-high 48 points against the Cowboys — his third 40-point outing of the season — he did so while going 14 of 39 from the field. The performance accounted for the third-worst shooting performance of Young's 18-game career.

It prompted ESPN's broadcast tandem to question whether Young was trying to do too much, and whether his offensive appetite caused his teammates to take bad shots when they did have the ball for fear they might not get it back.

Love it or hate it, Young's offensive game is predicated on traditionally ill-advised 3-pointers (coming into Saturday, he'd made less than a handful of mid-range shots) and getting to the foul line. That's what what made him who he is — the nation's leader in both scoring and assists. Eventually (read: inevitably), it's what will get him where he's going — a top-five pick in the 2018 NBA Draft.

There's a reason he leads the country in usage (38.9), more than four percentage points more than Georgia State's D'Marcus Simonds (34.8), who ranks second in that category. At 92.2 points per game, the Sooners are No. 2 in the country in scoring. Last year, they were No. 7 ... in the Big 12.

And Bogi was on fire.

Nothing wrong with the wings, it's how we use the wings that's the issue but to use the wings better ultimately depends on Trae.

You can't blame Trae for this one tonight.  All of those dudes are getting their shots.  Neither Trae, or the wings outside of Hunter, are making their shots.

Trae:  4 - 13

Bogi:  4 - 11  ( 2 - 9 from 3 ) . . . missed 7 of his last 8 shots

Hunter:  4 - 11

Huerter:  2 - 8

They've gotten their shots tonight.   None of them are knocking them down.

Okongwu is overrated by the fan base, too.  I like him a lot, but he’s not on the level fans make him out to be.

Travis is the most overrated... Both of his coaches have sucked....Most of his draftees are vastly overrated...But he's the GOAT around here...

Team Basketball ALWAYS wins out in the end over that bullshit

High Usage basketball is loser shit. And that's what this team is about...Trae being a high usage player

Trae comes back in and the lead balloons back up to 18 because of his turnovers and bad shots

Trae is such a bad decision maker for a lead PG. While he's the most skilled player and his level of Bron ball had at times surpassed Bron. Luka and Bron play way smarter ball than Trae. When Trae plays like this, he looks like Trae Marbury.

At Oklahoma, he literally had no one else on the team that was worth a damn.   That's why when teams started to trap him at OU, his teammates couldn't step up.

Once again, if Trae was the biggest issue with the team, this team would play a lot better as a whole, without him on the floor.

Our best player who can create his own shot outside of Trae . . . is Gallo.  Lou is next.  Huerter and Hunter are probably the 4th and 5th best shot creators after that.

Everybody else needs people to set them up.  If they knock down shots, they're good.  If they don't, only Collins has the ability to affect the game in other areas.
