Edit: Forgot to note in 2027 offseason its highlighted in blue because Trae has a player option that he can opt out of.

Sorry, Its not the salary that I'm worried about. I wanted to point out that Trae can opt out in that 26/27 season. So we can potentially enter that season without Trae and without a 1st round pick.

They don't think he is good enough to be the cornerstone of a rebuild and that he is too high a risk to leave as an UFA in two years.  He can leave us like that as well.  That now becomes our risk.
