For the most part, they seem to understand the business need...but aside from that, they really love the dude and are sad to see him go.

Moderators lethalweapon3 Posted June 30, 2022 Moderators Report Share Posted June 30, 2022 My cynical hunch for the Cookie was Mahdi Abdul-Rahman (d/b/a Walt Hazzard), a '68 All-Star with the upstart Sonics who we acquired ahead of Year One in Atlanta by shipping out, ironically, Lenny. Glad we didn't have to go all the way back to the Sixties! ~lw3
Plainview1981
Looks like an interesting team if I can actually stomach watching the NBA at this point.

When I thought of it, initially I thought JJ but he wasn’t an all star ️ until he was with us, and then he did it over and over and over and over and over again..(wait is that 6 overs ).

Gray Mule
What's the big worry about the pick swap? If Atlanta has the better record The Spurs will not want to swap. If their records are similar, then there is very little difference. Only if the Hawks are terrible will it be a big deal. (Pun). As for the other Hawk picks, the better our record, the less valuable they become. A bird in the hand is worth more than two in the brush. Murray, in hand, is worth more than future draft picks. I rest my case. Under repair. Edited June 30, 2022 by Gray Mule
Popular Post swanlee
One thing to consider with losing these draft picks is we basically have 2 years worth of draft picks on our roster who have not done much if anything for the team yet. Jalen and Cooper and this years picks. We already have an infusion of young talent waiting to play and losing some of these 1st rounders might actually let them develop and play more. They now have a little more breathing room to develop.

Just read Brunson's meeting with DAL and MIA along with NYK. What if they whiff on him too? Lol I kind of hope they get him. He's exactly the kind of max contract that keeps the Knicks being the Knicks.

Popular Post theheroatl
After digesting the trade, this is a top 5 Hawks moment in my eyes. The F.O. identified their ideal target, focused in on him, and didn't let up. I'm proud of the FO and this trade puts them in the top tier. Any trade worth of anything a damn is going to require some serious equity. Imagine if Embiid or Giannis was "available" what kind of equity would be required. Murray is a rising star and has talent similar to Dwayne Wade. I'm so glad all the stress and pages of posting we did on the squawk was rewarded this week.

Power move by ownership, front office, and Trae. Can't believe this is really happening. Even if this falls apart somehow, I will stand by this move. Fortune favors the bold.
