The excitement was a lot.  We lost two squawkers along the way.  One's funeral is Saturday and the other has not released details about their homegoing service.  But both will be with us for tomorrow's game!!

Man, what a relief.  We needed that win bad and I hope that was a turning point for the guys.  CC having to defend a center who can shoot leave the rim wide open -- we need JC back badly.  Especially on the boards.

Happy for Trae though, he didn't shoot well again but played a master class of a game.  I thought he balanced when to shoot bombs, take shots himself, and distribute.  He was general'ing the young guys around the court all game.  JJ is so talented but he needs to work on his shot.  He's a tough fit out there in all our lineups not being a good 3P shooter.  Love when he crahses the boards though, just need to keep getting reps in, I think he can be a really good rotation player.  OO played well tonight too.  I saw Prunty drawing up that last play which gave me like 1% hope -- crazy finish.  Only thing crazier was Bogis H-O-R-S-E shot lmao

I think one of the things we need to start to recognize is that our best player, Trae, is fearless.   Not a lot of players would have taken that deep bomb.  Not a lot of players would have thrown that sweet assist to OO.  Not many people his size would have taken that charge he took for Dunosomo.  FEARLESS.  It is a shame that he's so hated that people can't see the great things he does and the level that he's on. 

27.5 & 9.5... in a portion of the season where he is slumping and sharing the offense with DJM...

95% of the PGs in the History of this game could only dream about 27.5 and 9.5.

The premise of saying "we gotta let go of two years ago" is that this season is its own thing.... and I wholeheartedly agree.

So, no, they can't lose to the Houston Rockets and get a pass any more than anyone else can... two years ago, after all, is two years ago.

I've been saying for 2 years now that Bogi, not Trae, is the worst defensive player on the team and in the entire league.    He proved me right last night.    Don't know what is worse, his lack of effort or his sheer stupidity.   He's GOAT level in both.

Lot of positives lately even with some losses.   Nate actually seems like he's trying some new things.  Trae's defensive effort is much improved.  Bogi is shooting like crazy (except of one game).  OO seems to have found another gear in this last game.

It seems like you are calling for people to be balanced and include both critical and positive commentary (let me know if I misread that).  Since you are calling out others on it, what do you think I'll find if I look for your positive posts about anyone other than Hunter in this thread.  Let's find out how balanced the commentary was for players other than Hunter:

So am I to understand you found the time to make numerous negative comments about AJ and Trae but couldn't find a single positive thing on which to share your thoughts in that game?  I find it hard to believe you would have stayed silent if Hunter had hit one of those big shots down the stretch.  So if you are only making negative comments on those players in a game in which there was objectively a mix of negative and highlight level positive contributions, why are you bashing others for focusing on the positive contributions in their posts?  I'm not seeing what I assume is your desired balance in either approach so I'm not sure why anyone would be going after others for not having that balance when they aren't demonstrating it themselves.

Worst defender in the league (ie, among players who get 20+ min/gm) is an interesting topic, especially now that Trae may have emerged from that basement by the measure of many of even his most strident critics.

It's not BogBog, not even close.

oh it's definitely Bogi.  You have to be a massive homer to not see it.    He combines total lack of effort with total lack or IQ for the shitesandwich that is known as his defensive performance.

 

It's not even just the moronic foul on the 3pt shooter.  Before that he was also guilty of just standing around under the basket and making no effort to find a body to box out.  Him and AJ just sat there stroking their puds while DJJ grabbed a big offensive rebound and got fouled to go to the line.
