At 17 id take Brandon Clarke. 8 and 10 could be Rui and Reddish, or Reddish and Herro, or Reddish and Doumbouya, depending on your preference.

Clarke and Sekou over Hunter? Meh..And you wouldve clowned SChlenk for drafting another short armed PF(Clarke) or SG(Herro). lol..Talk about hindsight....

Hawks fans are jaded and super impatient. Let the Rookies develop. Trae is an anomaly so you can't expect that type of Rookie season from Hunter and Cam. Also, let Teague settle into his assigned role and get some actual practice time with the team before throwing him away. Patience.

Sacramento Kings 1st draft picks since 2006:

  • Quincy Douby ( 19th )
  • Spencer Hawes ( 10th )
  • Jason Thompson ( 12th )
  • Tyreke Evans ( 4th )
  • Demarcus Cousins ( 5th )
  • Bismack Biyombo ( 7th )
  • Thomas Robinson ( 5th )
  • Ben McLemore ( 7th )
  • Nik Stauskas ( 8th )
  • Willie Cauley-Stein ( 6th )
  • Marquese Chris ( 8th ) . . . traded to Phoenix for Bogdan Bogdanivic, Skai Labissiere, Georgios Papagiannis
  • De'Aaron Fox ( 5th )
  • Zach Collins ( 10th ) . . . . sent to Portland for Harry Giles and Justin Jackson
  • Marvin Bagley ( 2nd )

Patience?  Talk to their fans about patience.

I actually really liked BC and TH coming out of the draft. I'll a skill guy moreso than a measureable guy. Sekou is quietly showing a nice skill set in Detroit too.

Hawks have been making lottery picks for the past 2 drafts...SOME patience is warranted. Kings have been doing it for 14 years.

They've drafted a ton of big men. Eeeww.

I liked him too, but we needed a two way wing or two around Trae BAD...IF we hit on Hunter OR Reddish(which I think we will) we're fine. We can build around TRae/Collins/and whoever hits.lol(Probably Cam. Hunter is more of a glue guy like GS Iggy).....I knew we wouldnt draft 3 1st rdrs btw..

Sekou is 3-19 his last 3 games. 30% from 3 on the season..Take away that poster dunk, and hes a nobody right now..Come on now..And Clarke is in a better situation than Hunter atm.Put HUnter on that Grizzlies squad with some real vets.....Rui? Not that big if a fan. Hes alright, but nothing spectacular..

I was just giving different scenarios depending on preference. You didn't mention Herro cause you know his shooting is legit.

Dismissing Sekou would be like dismissing Cam. He's a 19 year old highly athletic high upside guy. He's could be a really nice player in a few years.

I was really high on Sekou and definitely think he has shown promise given his age and development.

Another perspective.

What were the best available players, instead of the guy they picked?

  • Quincy Douby ( 19th ) . . . Paul Millsap
  • Spencer Hawes ( 10th ) . . . Marc Gasol
  • Jason Thompson ( 12th ) . . .  Deandre Jordan
  • Tyreke Evans ( 4th ) . . . Stephen Curry
  • Demarcus Cousins ( 5th ) . . . Paul George
  • Bismack Biyombo ( 7th ) . . .  Jimmy Butler
  • Thomas Robinson ( 5th ) . . . Damian Lillard
  • Ben McLemore ( 7th ) . . . Giannis
  • Nik Stauskas ( 8th ) . . . Nikola Jokic
  • Willie Cauley-Stein ( 6th ) . . . Devin Booker
  • Marquese Chris ( 8th ) . . . Domantas Sabonis
  • De'Aaron Fox ( 5th ) . . . Donovan Mitchell
  • Zach Collins ( 10th ) . . . . John Collins
  • Marvin Bagley ( 2nd ) . . . Luka Doncic

What's so bad about this is Hunter has a pretty decent midrange pull up. The midrange pull up is underutilized. Once you've crossed the 3pt line, 2 points is 2 points. Leonard destroyed teams with his midrange game on his way to an NBA Championship..

that's one thing I like alot about Hunter is the fact that he takes that shot. That's one shot I wish Cam would take more instead of driving into no mans land. He can have all the space in the world from mid and the paint will be packed and he'll still drive, granted he has been taking mids more recently.

Goodness gracious.  The NBA should’ve stepped in made them auto draft like fantasy and they would’ve come out better.  They bypassed an AS 1st AND second unit for journeymen.

Hey, I'm not gonna let this tiff between you and @Spud2nique go on any longer.

Just stahhp it!

Now both of you hug it out.  And keep your hands above the belt this time, macd.
