Still can't believe we're in the 2nd round.  I remember when we were 11-16 a few months ago and my buddy was trash talking he was going to win our bet (i bet hawks would make the playoffs this year)

Embiid's availability and effectiveness is the biggest question mark here. 

Because imma be honest, I was figuring that the Hawks depth at C was going to be exposed here. 

But if he's not available or if he's hobbled, that changes the equation a lot. 

Regardless of how these upcoming playoff games go, I'm happy about the way the season ended up. Team was 14-20 under Pierce, he gets let go, they go 27-11 and win a playoff series over the next 3 plus months. That is a really good outcome all in all.

I do find it interesting that another young Hawks team is facing off vs Doc in the playoffs.

If Embiid is really out for the series, that would be unfortunate since I want to see the Hawks against a legit ECF contender. With that said, just win. What I don't want to see is the Hawks lose the focus and intensity they had on both ends versus the Knicks just because Embiid is not on the court. The Hawks have a nasty habit of playing down to the level of competition. If he's out for Game 1, losing that game would be very disappointing.
