Higher volume is needed to put him in the, say, Jaren Jackson Jr. class, but he's not a guy you can leave open.

JC looked good out there.

• Hit a couple off the dribble fades, one on KP and the other on THJ
• Face-up jumper still looks good
• Hit what looked like a dreamshake on Doncic(correct me if I'm wrong)
• Made some great reads in the pnr, one to Bogi in the corner and a lob to Clint
• Form looks more fluid on his 3pt shot. I think he increases his takes this season
• Defense looked great, positioning and timing looked nice, not a lot of fouls and a lot of talking

I was impressed last year on how he adjusted to being moved to the perimeter on the fly and figured he'd be better this season after having an offseason to adapt.

If this is who he is the remainder of the season, the Hawks will look like masterminds in how they handled his contract.

That grab block on Funny Smith. I was just thinking… JC that ain’t right. I’m not sure I had seen such a block, I mean back in the day maybe from a Barkley or Akeem, but he straight gangkt him. 

The dunk on Embiid was apparently the beginning of “plays I rarely seen.”
