Well, I had quite the adventure:

1. Took Marta like I've been doing...one stop in, power failure. Sooooo had to get off the train and get bussed two stops ahead to continue my journey to The Farm. Good thing we left early so got there in plenty of time still

2. Like I noted previously, the Yellow jerseys and lighting was awesome in person. The Arena was alive.

3. Bought an overpriced Trae Young #11, Yellow mustard tshirt for the kiddo. Yes, I'm too cheap to buy a $110 jersey.

4. Was not lucky enough to get a Chick-fil-A cow from the Parachute drop

5. Was not lucky enough to get a free t-shirt from the cannon or toss.

6. The Swag Surf dance was cool  

 

Game Notes:

1. Trae is a genius with the ball - his eyes man, watching his eyes as he navigates. Special.  The crowd went nuts when he locked up Sato to start the 3rd, lol.

2. Porzingis is a tall drink of water

3. I see why the defense is so bad - we switch alot on the perimeter and WE DO NOT TALK to say who's staying and who's going. So much miscommunication in switches.

4. Saw Gallo chew out OO for not getting up into Porzingas on a 3.

5. Hunter, Hunter, Hunter - the collective groan from the crowd on that missed drive and easy finish, smh.

6. Crowd clapped when he got that T - well deserved, he was getting mauled.

7. Crowd came alive on TraePushups

8. Trae to the refs - you got a problem with me, you got a problem with me....I just kept whispering to myself....no T, no T, lol

9. Gallo shooting over those lil dudes is child's play, lol

10. Really missed Ryan Cameron's voice over the PA.

Always a fun family time at The Farm. Go Hawks!!!

Took MARTA back after the game, the roundtrip ticket didn't work since we used it for the transfer snafu on the way to the Farm, MARTA personell was very helpful and let us through. 

Got to our car and the heavens opened up....rain, very heavy 🌧,  lightening and thunder, I was waiting to see animals 2 by 2 on the highway.....WOW!!! (Please don't turn on your HAZARD LIGHTS during rain...that's not what they are for).

27-14 at State Farm overall. Not bad, regrouped there at the end.

Trae is a monster. 
 

@JayBirdHawk glad you had fun. Funny you mentioned the yellow cuz I bought my first piece yesterday. (Shorts) And tonight I was busy putting my hex on the Nets, but no luck! Knicks are what we thought they were, crap.

Y’all are aware they beat us by 24 in State Farm with Caleb Martin and Herro getting the bulk of the minutes eh?  They’re a dominant plug in system like Phoenix and Memphis, no cakewalks at all.

That said Trae is ending the season on a mini-nuke stretch like we’ve become accustomed to.  He singlehandedly showed the Bullets just how inept they are as a franchise.  He’s so close to 50/ 40/ 90 a great coach would have him there next season with even more floaters and catch and shoot threes.

The thing I will remember about this game is Trae taking over the last two minutes of the third.  We are watching greatness every night.

Let me say this again, over and over:

1- What do the Hawks want that 2nd star player to do?

2- Name the things that Gallo does.

He's my choice for that 2nd star seat on the Hawks roster.  Atlanta will be crazy not to keep him next season.  I know that he has his limitations (don't we all) but he's a known product by all his Hawk brothers.  He fits.

What (who) would we replace him with?  What thing does he lack?  I know - speed/quickness is missing.  So what?  He does so many things right, doesn't he!

He's out, we lose.  He's in, we win!

And why is it that folks only talk about the good with the heet?  I ain't here nuthin' about heet-culcha last year while they got their doors blow'd off by the Bucks. 

After 2 games the heet was lookin' for a soft place to lay down.  Pretty sure I heard Jimi Buttler whispering, "Please Giannis don't hurt 'em."

Perhaps they weren't running the "dominant" plug-in system that series?

I hope it is.   Honestly Herro and Robinson and Bam don't really bother me.  It's Morris, Lowry, and Butler just endlessly hacking people with no calls. and then flopping on the other end like they've been shot.

I felt like that incident just brought a dark cloud over our chances and we had played Phoenix the night of the incident and I remember Morris and Thabo getting into it and some techs were called. Things were getting dirty.

Same goes for Grayson Allen.

I don’t like these guys. Pat Bev too. I liked him early on in his career trying to make it in Houston but then he got out of control.

I have a feeling the next Caruso type injury is coming again by one of these guys and it’s not gonna be pretty on any front.

Agree on all of that.   The penalties are way too light for their antics too.  The only thing that will stop it is significant suspensions.   Especially for repeat offenders.   JC got 25 games for a 1st ped offense.  Allen gets 1 game for playing so reckless that he takes a guy out for the season.

Let's be honest.  Allen is out there looking to deliberately hurt people so they will stop doing what they would normally do and play a more limited, "safe" version of their game to avoid being injured by him.  He deserves any bad luck that comes his way.  Like if he was doing an interview under the TNT crew and Shaq fell from a story above, landed on Allen, and broke every bone in Grayson's body then there couldn't be a more deserving player to have that happen to.  Just hypothetically.
