I don't know what bus memes you are talking about. If Durant came here we'd be giving up a ton to get him. So much so that I think it is cost prohibitive. But there is something to say about adding a top 5 NBA player to Trae and Murray and just filling in the roster with veteran minimum guys ring chasing. One of the potential places is Brooklyn for either KD or Ben. We are in KD's top five but not higher than that. Trae wants to get Ben but the Nets know his value is at an all time low and want to keep him. We're probably closer to making a Ben trade but based on what I'm hearing from my two sources I still don't think a trade will happen with the Nets. The last part is my speculation to be fair. Much appreciated info Soth. Regarding Simmons, in order for Brooklyn to get a decent package for Durant, Simmons has to go. That in tune gives us some leverage here. Bobby broke it down well here: A 3rd or 4th team is going to be needed here and maybe we can step in and get Trae's guy (or Ayton). All the rumors we were seeing in this thread were broken later by national media. From the Hawks trading for Murray with JC and a few picks to JC being in trade talks. Can't be made at posters for the Hawks discussing your favorite players in trades. Doesn't mean they will trade them.. I think the stagger should be in the second quarter, remember last year when our second unit was going on its hot streak during the stretch run of the season we would just bulldoze opponents that quarter. I know there's going to be doubters or trolls masquerading as doubters but I am glad the real Hawks fans on here appreciate the inside talk that the three of us provide. For free I might add. And you were right: all the rumors we reported for months on here were broken here first and then later picked up by national media guys. Not every trade rumor happens. In fact it is almost always the opposite. But the talks and interest are real and so are the teams and players talking.
