He started off the season great than cooled off and now the last few games has been rounding back into shape. I think the problem is still defense and his inability or lack of will to be effective when driving to the Hoop. He pulls up and does these semi floaters push shots instead of drawing contact and going to the line. Overall though he has definitely shown improvement and has been our second best playmaker and deserves props.

Yea they don't look like a team trying to tank to me. More like a team desperately trying to win games and sneak into the eighth seed. If they wanted to tank you don't sign Grant or bring back Rose.

Watched the entire game.  Just can't post and concentrate on the game at the same time.

Things that I observed last night:

Trae was terrible until half time.  Hit those free throws and we win without overtime.  Our old Trae came back late in the game and we needed everything that he did.

"Red" is playing well.  Remember all those trade ideas from other NBA teams?  Trade us __________ and Huerter for our player.  They all wanted Atlanta to just "throw in" our red head.

Agent 0017 got some playing time.  I personally see him as a combination PF/SF more than a center in the NBA.  Could be a nice back up until he grows a bit more.  He has quickness, doesn't he.

Collins had one of his best games against the Pistons.  For those that has been saying he and Capela don't work together, - - -  !!

All star game from our starting center.  He's been playing like this for a while.  This is how he played before his injury, we are told.  Guess the Hawks got a steal.

Expected a see saw season when it began.  1st place Atlanta living up to this idea.  If, and that's a great big if, we ever get 100% healthy, Atlanta will be pretty good.

Detroit, in the 4th quarter, tried to play "prevent" and hold on to their lead instead of being aggressive.  This type of game doesn't really work in any sport.  See what happened....

Finally, hit those free throws.  They count.  No misses and win without overtime.  Atlanta closed out the 4th quarter and overtime as a team, not just a bunch of NBA players on the floor together!

Great comeback.   I don't know what the Pistons were doing late in fourth.  They could have run out the clock. 

Collins/Capela (JC3?) - is just kicking butt.   When they are both in the game it's pretty great and if Trae ever gets really cooking, for a whole game, then watch out.   

We got a rough schedule coming up.  It'd be a good time to get in a groove and hopefully get Gallo back out there.

It’s just the kind of game we needed before hitting a rough stretch. I think we see our main players show up big over the next stretch.

I think if last night's game proved anything is that we probably shouldn't be so reactionary. Half the board was ready to trade Collins/Capela and bench Trae a week ago. 90% of the league is hovering within a game of .500. This season's schedule is nuts, teams haven't played in months, practice is limited, etc. Yeah we're not looking great but what team is consistently looking good outside of about 4 contenders.

Great game, good adjustments after Detroit came out with some hot 2nd half defense. Time to pay Collins in the off season.

I wonder how many were his own misses.  At least 10.   They should keep a stat that doesn't include rebounding your own misses.   Call it the MosesCorrectedRebounds.

That was the Moses special.  One offensive possession, 2 points, 1-3 fg, 2 rebounds.

Yeah i think the team provides them right?  I always feel like Trae gets screwed out of assists on the road but I also just like to complain.

In his 1st 9 games, Capela had 8 blocks (that's not even 1 block on average) ........Last 3 games, he blew up with 12 blocks. (both him and JC have more blocks in the last 3 games than in the previous games combined).
