Great series win! Love the close out game. Trae is the new villain of MSG and we just earned a lot more fans. 
 

Hunter is a beautiful specimen. Clint talked the talked then walked the walk.

Okongwu 2 huge O boards and some nice defense and block.

Leadership, leadership and leadership. Whatever Nate said at 14-20 challenged players to find this key trait to playing winning/tough basketball. You don’t have to be THE leader always, but lead by example with your successes, failures, interactions.

Even when Gallo struggled, his body language was strong and the team fed off of that. Enjoy the highs, fight during the lows and always remain composed.  I’m not going to dig into how each player had their moments, but the team as a whole didn’t shy away from any moment. Nate is our leader, he has created a culture that has brought us confident/winning basketball. Props to the players for buying in and executing.

Nate just signed sealed and delivered that pay day from the Hawks.  Wow! Second round.  I guess that'll shut the Indiana fans up.  Travis should be exec of the year.  I'm on cloud 9.  So proud of the young guys.  The young guys really  stepped up this series.

So damn proud of this young team! Great first playoffs and anything after this first rd series is just icing on the cake! I’m not saying I want them to stop winning of of course but my own personal expectations for this young group has been meet this season and playoffs.

if we somehow beat Philly I don’t know what I’m going to do.

Meh. He's having fun and playing to the crowd. It ain't like he's going in interviews saying he's a hall of famer cuz they won a series. I got no problem with it. It's still just a game. Too many stuffy people gettin all up tight over a little trash talking and entertaining. 

My guess is the Philly fans will be equally involved with Trae so he'll play it up as well. If they leave him alone, he'd probably leave them alone.

So it's official. I won't be watching another live Hawks game until next season; Mrs Dejay will see to that. I watched The History Channel (The Titans who Built America is good) until 10:15 when I knew that it was over and voila, another blowout victory. 

In my 40+ years of watching Atlanta sports, I've never seen a team in the postseason tell an opponent that they were going to be sent home in their house. In doing so, they went from being regarded as a league punchline into a very real threat to possibly win a world title. Not just for the remainder of this season but for seasons to come. 

Safe to say, I'll be up early to watch First Take and scroll the Knicks message boards to hear the weeping, wailing, and gnashing of teeth. This is going to be a fun few days...
