For me, the media is discussing how Middleton underperformed and are referencing that as to why the Bucks most likely can win.  However, they fail to mention that this was Jrue's best game and isn't likely to repeat that performance.

Couple things are remarkable about that.

a. As you said, folks ignoring the fact that he had a career game as if it's gonna be repeated regardless of what Middlington does.

b. The fact that, in having a career performance, Jrue basically had a regular Trae game - yet folks act like what Trae does is "normal".  Trae-normal = Jrue-fantastic.

Tonight...

I expect a lot of screen and roll from Holiday to Giannis.

If Bogdan or Solo is guarding Holliday... They will have to go over the screen and Trae will have to come up from his floating position to help trap Holliday.  Cap has to continue to escort Giannis.

Some screen and roll from Middleton to Giannis.

Same thing but this time, Red Velvet has to stick tight to Middleton because he's liable to drop back and shot.   I would not trap Middleton.  Instead, I would make sure that he couldn't swing the ball easily.

We know what to expect from a Bud coached team.  Ultimately, he wants to swing the ball until there's an open shooter.  Even though he has this force of nature, 2 time MVP who can get to the basket when he wants to, he insists on keeping his offense the same.

It's time to start the mind games with Giannis.

We build a wall and dare him to shoot.  Earlier in the series, Harden goaded Giannis to become a jump shooter and they didn't have a good wall.  I say everytime Giannis is near the three point line, we take two steps back and give him the shot.   The hard part is not letting him build up a downhill run.    If he has picked up his dribble out there and he has taken a step, don't let him move foward.  If he have not, give him the shot.   He will eventually try to win with his shooting.   It's similar to what we did with Simmons.   It will have the effect of what we did to Randle.  Giannis will lose confidence.   When he does, his answer will be to bull his way in and it's there that we get charges.

Tonight's game could be a lot different.  We were fortunate that Middleton had an off night.   They will look to get Giannis started early and then try to get Middleton in the game with his shooting off the pass.   Whoever is guarding Middleton should stick to him like glue.   Don't let him get an open shot.   That means, whoever is guarding Middleton does not participate in doubling or trapping or shading.   Their main focus is staying on middleton at all times.

We have shown that one man can't beat us.  (D-Rose).

We have shown that two men can't beat us. ( Curry and Embiid).

If next we have Giannis and Holliday.. I think as long as they get no help from anybody else, we can take their soul with a win tonight.

I won't underestimate Holliday's ability to do it again if we have nothing stopping him.   Sheez, Curry didn't have a bad game against us and all of his games were like Career games.  We are not a great defensive team.  However, what we do do is we bend but not break.  Like I said in another post... if it's just Holliday and Giannis going off, we can handle that... we've seen worst from Embiid and Curry.  What we can't do is allow Middleton or anybody else to get off.

I hear you on that.  However, I think an unusual shooting night aided Holiday.  Curry being wide a** open greatly aided him considering he's a good shooter.

I can see a scenario where Jrue bricks open shots on his way to a bad game.

No matter what happens we got the split. Losing game one is brutal for the home team.

I don't think this Milwaukee team is as mentally strong as Doc's Philly team was.   They came out of game 1 feeling that they had figured us out in the second half of the game.   Well, Milwaukee came out of game 1 saying, we hit them with our best shots and they came back from it.  It's a totally different psychology.   Plus...we beat them in Milwaukee.  They haven't had a home loss in these playoffs.   They beat Brooklyn with KD and Kyrie on the floor.  But they were not able to do anything with us?  In fact, the last time they lost in Milwaukee was Game 5 of the Conference Finals Against Toronto  2019.    They are supposed to be better now than they were then... and we beat them at Home in game 1.

And in the 3rd quarter, we clowned them.

Psychologically... if Trae starts off Hot, they will quit before the 3rd quarter is over.

We only won by three, we didn't blow them out so let's stop the they can't do anything with us stuff , if we get up big tonight then fine but we're not there yet

Let's hope them losing game 1 at hope got them pressing mentally and emotionally game 2.

Giannis will be Giannis, but will he continue to make most of his free throws like in game 1? Will Middleton step up or dissapear again? Can Coach Bud come up with a defensive plan to combat Trae's scoring or playmaking ability?

These are really important questions for the Bucks heading into game 2.

I'm happy to see Trae not on there for either ribs or shoulder.

I know he ain't on there for the the wings 'n thighs.  Since we're probably gonna get another 30-piece basket with a side o' biscui-ssists. 😎

We all know Bud can't coach a damn in the playoffs. Time to get his ass fired by SWEEPING them out of the playoffs. Talk about some karma on that.

Let's go Hawks!!!

Then the Bucks can hire LP!
