Don't wanna be unsympathetic - but I'm glad we traded him before this injury. Between Parson, Len, Parker, Bembry - all trade possibilities - ALL with injuries. 1
NBASupes
Parsons will be in any Adams deal if it happens. The question is, will it be much bigger. It all depends on Gallo. Edited January 26, 2020 by NBASupes
Popular Post NBASupes
Here is what I got this morning: Parsons, OKC 1st For Adams Baseline OKC is willing to trade Moose as well if they can get Bruno who Atlanta has been reluctant to move OKC ideally wants Brooklyn 1st so much that they are open to the idea of moving Gallinari. He finally stated Atlanta is interested in Gallinari. He said OKC is still holding out hope that Gallinari can fetch a 1st which hasn't happened. The best offer that got is DAL 2nd which OKC hasn't declined yet. OKC wants Brooklyn 1st and Bruno and are willing to move Gallinari, Adams, and Moose for it. Atlanta hasn't been willing to move Bruno but has had interest in moving the Brooklyn pick if it comes with both Gallinari and Adams. Turner would be added to any deal that includes Gallinari. He repeated what he been stated. The market for Adams is extremely low, aka no one but Atlanta is truly interested and the feeling is the summer might be even harder to make a trade. OKC is looking at making the best deal. OKC is holding out hope a team will offer a 1st for Adams if they miss on bigger targets. Although it's looking unlikely, that's the plan. I asked about Bertrans update to see if he had anything from around the league, he said what he had previously is what he still has. Doesn't feel like Washington has pulled him off the market yet. I asked is the feeling still he's going to Atlanta in a trade. Said it hasn't been that feeling in a week and that Bertrans can be had if an offer that's good is made. Ouch! That was all we talked about sport related. Other than that, we talked about Power. Hehehe. I asked what will happen with Iggy. He said the feeling is he will be cut but MEM is damn near willing to trade him for savings just to make sure the Lakers don't get him. Kleiman is not Jerry West. That's a fact. Don't be surprised if Harkless framework and a future 2nd for Iggy is enough. Edited January 26, 2020 by NBASupes

txsting
I think we should probably do the OKC 1st for Adams. Gallinari is not signed beyond this year, and without significant assurances, wouldn't be worth the BKN 1st for me. Gallo wants to play for a title, I don't believe he would sign with Atlanta. With this one move for Adams, we can be significantly better next year and more attractive to the 21 FA class. We have to be better next year. No more lottery. Let's cash in on the lottery this year, grab Adams for a fake first rounder, get bargain deals on vet FA's this offseason. Couple that with internal growth of our youth and we're in the playoffs next year and people start talking Hawks nationally.
DS5
I'd be ok moving the Bk pick or Bruno, but not both, if it meant getting back Adams and Gallo. If they throw Moose in, even better. Our front court rotation would go from a weakness to a strength. A big rotation of Collins, Adams, Gallo, Len, Jabari would look really good. bleachkit
Gallo is good, it's weird he keeps getting traded. 3

It's just his injury history. Not sure if he's been injured very much this year though.
Popular Post Thomas
Keep developing Bruno since he has barely scratched the surface but has shown some physical play which we lack. Take one of the other routes to acquire Adams. He would definitely help bring Bruno along.

I like this better than trading for Gallinari...only because I dont believe Gallo would resign here and like someone above mentioned I see Gallinari only going to a contending team this summer. i say IF you can really get Adams for the OKC 1st and Parsons...DO IT IMMEDIATELY! Then go after Bertans this summer. Bertans to me is more realistic than Gallo. I think Schlenk can at least get Bertans attention more so than Gallinari when it comes to money . Bertans is looking for a nice pay day more than likely whereas I’d bet that Gallo won’t put money first and more so the teams situation on if they can win it all or not going into the next season

Popular Post Plainview1981
I would figure that part of the reason for getting Adams would be to help Bruno’s development. It doesn’t make sense to trade Bruno.
Popular Post Gray Mule
They didn't ask me. If they had asked, Hawks would still have Spellman, fat and all. Again, they will not ask me. If they did, I would agree with Thomas....

Admin Popular Post capstone21 Posted January 26, 2020 Admin Popular Post Report Share Posted January 26, 2020 I don’t see the point of bringing in Gallo ... quality shooter who needs to start. He will sign with a contender next season so we get him in a year we are not making the playoffs and it will cost us too much. Grab Adams and be done with it. If we are going to trade the Brooklyn pick then I want something that will help us beyond this season. 4
