With the salary cap going to lead up soon this deal along with JC and Capela will look very, very good soon.

I think we might have slightly overpaid simply due to injury risk and Dre's inability to contribute anything other than good wing defense and a good 3 point percentage. He simply has to bring more to the table for the Hawks to make a jump in the playoffs. I know he has the tools to do it. Here's hoping he brings it.

Well, i am surprised he signed that deal. Shows he really wants to be here. I still think we need his upside to kick in if we want to be championship contenders. I hope he doesn’t settle into what he has been doing up to this point. It is a good deal though. I was willing to wait and pay a premium if his play jumped.

Dre is the X-factor 

There is a role for him as a go-to guy, replacing those Gallo sets, he just has to capitalize on it. More minutes and usage could see him jump to a 18 & 5 guy if he takes advantage of the opportunity.

Yes its not a slam dunk but I think it's fair enough. I was hoping for something in the high teens low twenties but it's just four years so that gives us some room to maneuver if he doesn't pan out. Overall I'll grade this one a B from the Hawks perspective
