Official Game Thread: Suns at Hawks

Our “big three” played well together. I look forward to seeing the replay of this one. After wins, I just have been used to worrying about who gets hurt, suspended, or sick tomorrow? It seems like something happens where we can’t build.

Seriously though, can we just get a good few weeks of play for ‘Squawk morale. Also the article @JayBirdHawk shared about leadership. That was very eye opening and true. You can lead at a young age (Trae), but results are a huge part of getting that respect. Even a small 3 game winning streak would do wonders for us.

As I mentioned during the game, I think this is the first time we had the 3 double doubles this season! Get that consistently and watch out!

I have to apologize to Jones. He gave us some good minutes tonight and didn't foul out. Last time they baited the hell out of him with those cheesy offensive fouls. Of course when Cam Johnson (I think) ran into Collins tonight in transition it was suddenly a blocking foul.

I don’t want to jinx it given the health issues, but I can’t go without mentioning it either.

The bench is a tragedy though. None of these players are reliable.

Got a nice lil glimpse of the future tonight. Trae is unbelievably ridiculous!! I mean he’s pulling up a few steps from mid court. He dazzled Ayton, shook Mikal, and confused Oubre. He scores, he assists. Hey, how bout that hand 🖐 off pass by Trae to Damian. feed. Speaking of Damian, efficient night. He blew one at the rim but not bad overall.

Hunter had a nice little game. He’s getting a big time feel for the game and stretching out his baby Hawk wings.

Cam good D and nice lil quick flush on the break.
 

Huerter I see you! 15 boards 8 assists and 23 points? He messed around and nearly triple doubled. Career night for Huerter, that’s what I’m talking about.

Collins a nice dub dub too. Solid all around.

Lets see if we can carry this confidence to San Antonio.

When the Hawks lose, everyone has that "Woulda, Coulda, oughta" talk about the loss.  In the win tonight, what do posters have to complain about?  We are stunned.  We have no words.  How do we explain this?  

So many things to complain about - - POOF -- Not here.  What to do?  What to do?  

Rookies all have a good game.  Huerter goes off.  Collins acting like it's last season.  In baseball, a great closer is necessary for a successful team.  Last night, Trae was our closer.  Wasn't he great!

We Hawk fans now have that "feel good" feeling about our beloved Hawks.  We bask in the knowledge that this team is capable of winning.  We had almost forgot the feeling.  Happy that we ave a day off so that we can enjoy this great feeling.  Then, it's back to the grind...  Welcome back, Bruno,  We've missed you!

Good win by the Hawks, although I missed 90% of this game.  I'll watch the highlights on Youtube a little later.

I prefer Stinger on the sidelines and Renee in the studio. Both are knowledgeable and I enjoy listening to their takes on the game and players. You can tell Renee is passionate about basketball because her eyes light up analyzing the game... and she is gorgeous. Nique will always be a legend in Atlanta and he will always have the fan's support, but his commentating annoys the heck out of me and has me like "what???" half the time. He's basically a fan working the headset... the same as if it's you or I were on the call.

Sorry lethalw but I don't 'do' BSPN anymore.  I may have to check in on the highlights .. begrudgingly (since I hate BSPN).

If Trae were able to do something on that one play where he exorcised Ayton, the Suns might've forfeited.

After giving a lot of grief to Bembry all year, he had a good game and watching Oubre makes you feel good that at least Bembry knows enough not to go 1-20 from the field.  

Booker.  I mean that tech was weak but so was the first one so he should have known.
