I was glad you weren't here during the game.  I figured your head might've exploded with all these "Hawks fans" actively rooting against the team.  Crazy how many people still enjoy the games more when we lose.  When we win ... crickets.

TBH he should have closed with the FT and floater in the 4th. But he was spectacular in overtime (except for the botched play to end the 1st one).

PELLICANS LOSE BY 5 IN OVERTIME.

HAWKS WIN BY 5 IN DOUBLE OVERTIME.

They meet tonight.  Hawks missed some free throws, but not Capela, and had to play more.  Trae missed a floater as time expired, forcing overtime.  Maybe we observed Trae growing up some more after his bad play in regulation.  He was hurting.  He had 5 fouls.  He had just missed his floater.

Trae sure wasn't a super star in regulation.  He could have quit on us in overtime.  He didn't.  With 2 starters already missing the entire game, Atlanta fought the good fight and prevailed.  Agent OO17 had his best game, which we needed.  Bench players started and played well.  Goodwin was clutch.  Spurs were trying their best to foul Huerter but the officials refused to call it.  Finally punched the ball away.  Couldn't commit a foul when they tried.

Spurs put up a terrific fight.  They were behind most of the game, yet came back to force overtime.  Tied the Hawks, forcing another overtime.  Finally, Atlanta's determination paid off.  

A win is a win.  But, by golly, this one is special.  Our Hawks grew a bunch last night.  Hopefully, we win tonight without overtime!

Nobody was hating on them.  It was willing this team to victory through reverse jinxes.  Think about it.  Crap on Bogi all year?

So I missed the best marathon game of our season it seems. Reading about it and feel good about the eventual finishing results. Also it seems this having some patience thing is working out for Bogi. A lot of good contributors playing last night.

Capela was born and raised in Switzerland, FWIW. Grew up in a group foster situation; incredible story, really.

Yup... but bro you can’t call people out like this when you yourself has an agenda of needing to be right all the time too.

That's not happening.

"With great power comes great responsibility". If he's got carte blanche to do whatever he likes, he better do it right.

 

That said... Trae got us in a hole, and then Trae got us out of the hole. ALL GOOD. I hope he plays better if he plays tonight. We need him to be good.

Ended up catching a nearly deadly bout with food poisoning. It's clearly not the first time I got it but this one had me passed out and in the worst condition possible.
