I keep hearing in the media like tonights pregame on the radio - they were talking about Hunter not being 100 yet, he had that good stretch last year but that may have just been a nice little run he had before getting injured, he has not shown any consistency, but I think the team should say something if hes still adjusting.  

But I say that to say this, Hunter was really the pick we were waiting to develop to see if we really have been as good at drafting as we thought, if he doesnt work out then, I think its fair to say we have not drafted as well as we thought we just drafted high.  

hard to see us bringing another big star in because these guys arent going to have the value this offseason they had last.  Dont think travis didnt try at the deadline, but best we can hope for now is them to atleast remain competitive before a consolidation, because they havent been looking that competitive in some of these games.

On offense. His defense in the RS is garbage. He has a nice streak of good defensive games recently but once he got the all star starter locked up, he went back to RS Trae.

He did on defense. He became league average on defense in the playoffs. He basically became a better Luka. But in the RS, he's might be a top 2-3 offensive player but he's the worst defensive player in the NBA. You can't be that good and that bad on both ends of the court.

He is just playing with the point gawd.

 

 So what do we do at SG and SF, if Trae cant maximize wings? Good luck finding guys who just want to go out there and play hard on defense only to make up for Traes shortcomings..... We'd be better off with the Gleague guys.. Theyre were willing to sacrifice just to stay on the court.. Hunter wants to get paid just like Cam wanted to....But tbh Hunters defense isnt looking like all that right now either....

This is not the kind of effort, nor the result, that a team fighting for their playoff-hopeful lives can afford.

Three games below .500 now with chances getting slimmer by the game.

How can Trae make Hunter a better player?  What does Trae need to do?

Trade JC for Siakam during the draft.

SnT Ayton, Torrey Craig for Clint and get Gallo to agree to a week longer buyout.

Get a new PF and C. I could care less about the wings. Trae ball don't work for wings anyway.

It really don't matter. It pointless to waste assets on players Trae will never fully use because it doesn't benefit his game.

The defense as a whole is garbage folks ….it’s not only Trae. Trae is not a defensive leader that’s the reason capela was brought here. 

we just aren’t good at defense as a team especially the 3 ball! But there’s ways to counter this poor play. Just need some fiery type players like Marcus Smart. There’s no defensive passion from these guys outside of OO….even Capelas aggressiveness isn’t there defensively all the time this season.

You can't put the blame all on Capela when things fail defensively. Same for offense with Trae.

I guess he's saying wings will never shine playimg with Trae?  Trae should only play with PF's and center?......But our PF complains about it too so that aint it....
