Trae is a much better ballplayer when he plays faster, doesn't dominate the ball and trust his teammates.  This is a work in progress being that he has always been the star and felt he had to win the game  but if he learns and doesn't fight this change he will see a lot more success in Atlanta.  If not he will not finish his career in Atlanta.  

I hope he makes the change because he and the Hawks are so much better when he plays this way . 

It is hard to find players with Trae's talent.  He just has to learn how to win.

JJ playing more than AJ to close out the season is a twist I didn't see coming at all.  He had some big plays tonight.  Our size with JJ and Bey in the rotation gives us such a different look.  Now we got to get the starters on track.

All the lobs that usually picked off against Miami did not happen tonight. Trae got off the ball quickly. The focus on the boards. The spacing. The pace. Miami legit looked lost on defense at times. This game had Quin's fingerprints all over it.

He was insane tonight. I honestly think he was our best player with OO. If I had any negatives for him. FTs, settling for 3s even when wide open and he would fall asleep on defense at times. Other than that. His possession by possession play was massively impactful. The hard stats don't do him justice. He was hell on Miami every single time he had the ball and defensively, he was all over the floor.

I agree! But you have to admit that some of his struggles is out of his control even when he puts in the effort. 
For example…the 3 straight buckets herro made vs Trae is more of a coaching change that should have been made rather than letting Trae get backed down and scored on.

I think we end up playing the Nets in a 7/8 matchup and take them out and face the Celts in a 7/2 matchup and Adam Silver builds more drama  lines with the tradition and history of the two franchises and well as Marcus Smart being a real piece of work defending Trae. 
 

ps We knock them out in 7 in Boston.  Trae hits the winner in the aforementioned Smart’s mug ️

Yeah, the boy will be something else. Though it would be nice if he learned how to make free throws. Otherwise it was a great game.

CC was massive tonight but so was JJ, Bey, Okongwu, and JC in the 4th. All of the bigs showed their ass tonight.
