I wonder what our record would be had we fired PIerce earlier? Makes you wonder..WE actually played good defense without Cam and Dre...Its like they were just tired of playing for LP..

In fairness to LP, this is what he's been preaching on the defensive end.

Nate's lineups and rotations weren't much different than LP's, with the exception of keeping Gallo at the 4.

The team just gave a lot more effort tonight.

Nate played OO much more than LP ever has.

That's on the HC. Clearly they were out to show what they can do even with all the injuries.

Question is can they play good offense while also playing good defense under Nate? That is the question. If all they do is switch it up and now suck at offense it won't matter in the standings.

Well...A lot of myths were busted tonight!

1.  Coaching won't matter with these players

2. Hawks can only win shootouts

3. Trae Young has to score 30 to give the Hawks a chance to win

4. This team can't play defense without Reddish and Hunter

5. Trae Young is the worse defender in the league.

6. Capela can't be played late in the 4th quarter

7. The team should have waited longer to fire LLoyd Pierce

He played 10 minutes tonight.  In 3 consecutive games against Denver (W), Cleveland (L) and Boston (W)  - he played 13, 10 and 12 minutes respectively. Then he played about 4 minutes the last 2 games.

You got 6 out of 7 locked down. A little early to say No. 3 is busted. If you think 94 pts wins most nights you are sorely mistaken.

I doubt they win consistently with Trae limited offensively. Dont win tonight if Trae isn't taking and making those long 3s in the 4th.
