I think this is well said.  I do think there are those that have an agenda against him but i also think there are a ton of people who think that Luka, Ja and others have better numbers and better efficiency than Trae and he trumps them in almost all categories.

Yeah, because most focus on his flaws which don't outweigh his strengths, by any metric you throw out there. 

I saw a post that said Ja and Luka were both more efficient than Trae.  There's not one thing Luka is more efficient even by counting stats.  Ja has a higher field goal percentage, but take a look at true shooting and there is a gap.

Bradley Beal made ALL NBA last year and by same defensive metrics he was worse than Trae last year.

Trae unfortunately is still suffering from the Luka trade hangover. Then add to his summer league struggles as well as his first 45 days in the NBA - the narrative was created from that and some people are having difficulty admitting they were wrong about him and are still throwing out the same tired narrative.

Cant figure why Steph is so high with less than a 2:1 assist to turn and an eFG far lower than his career average.  It is Steph tho.  Looney literally scores every one of his points because of his man forgetting he exists when Steph is on lol.

Five-thirty-eight precisely predicted Klay’s return would hurt the Warriors even with a better pass and dribble profile.

Its extremely difficult for a wing coming off of two major injuries to have positive impact at his age. 

 

Steph is the goat offensive player in terms of off ball value. Guys like him have so much value and benefit to others. Look at Wiggins for example

Trae is having (another) historic season and the best one of his career by far.

We as fans have to keep the pressure on the media to acknowledge him for  his greatness. We cannot let them brush this under the rug like they have done before.

Well Raptor is not an efficiency stat it's a box+- stat.

I recall, several years ago, King James became a millionaire his first year in the NBA.  How?  He signed up with sponsors to do commercials for their products.  You saw this rookie on TV often.  He still makes mega $$$ because of his appearances in commercials.

Trae has just now started to appear.  Casual fans all remember a player seen often on TV.  This is one of the things that drives players onto all star status.

I don’t make too many new threads when we have a bunch about the topic.

I don’t know if anyone should stop me from wanting to start a new topic and it pains me to do so, I’ve been around since 85, the best player in ATLANTA Hawks history has always been Nique…

Until today, 

Trae wins his 3rd eastern conference player of the week. If there was a trophy case, Trae may have already exceeded Nique. Nique though, he was one of my idols growing up along with Bruce Lee, Barry Sanders and a maybe one or two more public figures.

I am old school . Don’t get me wrong, love the new kids and the talent, but I usually saw many players couldn’t play in the 80’s or 90’s, Trae could.

I’m not even close to the biggest Trae fan amongst many of you even though I wake up every day thinkin, “wait, that’s a Hawk”.. it’s pretty surreal.

One of these days imo, even the great Nique would want to pass the touch to this YOUNG man! Hats off Trae! We are blessed.
