Official Game Thread: Knicks at Hawks -- GAME 4

Even Schlenk gotta be surprised at this chemistry and these fits.  He’s made great moves since he arrived, arguably none better than bringing Nate Mac-10 into the fold.  Does the man even sleep?

Trae has emphatically shown himself to be our best player and All-NBA worthy.  (I know that wasn’t in doubt for most Hawks fans but I’ve heard other names tossed out as our best player this year.)
 

Love JC continuing his comeback story after getting trashed following game 2.  He and Gallo both frustrated and surpassed Randle today.

 

Showing ourselves to be a complete team.  Let’s win game 5 and bring this young team it’s first playoff series in MSG!

Philly is going to a brutal match up. Embiid is pretty much unstoppable.

The human victory cigar is in the house. I did as Mrs. Dejay suggested by not watching until the game was over; hell, it worked in 2015.

You do realize what they have just done. Not only did they curbstomp an NBA 'favorite' but did so on Sunday afternoon on ABC. I believe that this is their first win on that network since 2010.

This wasn't some fly by night, wake me when the boring is over matchup against the Horcats or Kings that no one cares about. The entire country got to see what we have cooking down here. And the Knicks, their fans, the national media, and execs in Adam Silver's office probably don't like what's being served on the grill right now...

While that is true, he has been a disaster shooting the ball this year even for him.  8% vs a career 42%.  That is obviously small sample size driven.

That was truly an overachieving C's team. IT and some spare parts, should have been a lottery team.

My point is that you don't even have to do that type of stuff when you're up 20+ in a game.  That's the type of stuff you get out of the way when the game is still in doubt, like how Solo did it in Game 3. 

They know that we're more talented than them.  The entire world knows it.  There's no denying that now.

The only thing that could somewhat equalize this series, is if one of those punks seriously go after Trae and try to hurt him.

Now Trae is more than tough enough to take hard fouls.  But one of them may cheap shot him, especially if he has it rolling.  That's what I don't want to see.

So it's no reason to stoop to their level, if we're obviously the more superior team.

It took huge balls from Schlenk to do the right thing and fire LP mid season. Something I and many fans were calling for despite LP being a “good” guy. He is a horrible HC. He has no clue about NBA rotations. Remember all the head coaches Rick Carlisle and Gregg Popovich saying Atlanta was a sorry franchise for firing LP for not winning games we had no chance to win. Yeah right LP had no belief in this team and Nate believes in them and know how to actually coach. Past that Schlenk has put together an incredibly deep team that is perfectly suited for Trae’s game.

If anyone is thinking of posting a thread about feeling sorry for the Knicks, don’t.  I don’t feel bad for them.  We’re just gonna win game 5 and be done with them.

Yeah those coaches coming to bat for him was weird.  They know damn well he’s green and that Nate is real quality.

LP is on NBATV.  Leave that man alone and out of celebrations.  Are we going to talk about LP if we win a championship?  He's been nothing but cordial regarding the Hawks.  He did train up our young guys and at the end couldn't relate.  

Also, the below is what excites me the most.

TBF, I do believe that the late CLP was the one who hired Nate McDawg. 

Read somewhere that he had total control of who he hired for his staff, and Travis never even met Nate the Great until after the fact .

Best thing Lloyd ever did for this team.

Red Velvy with totals of 39 points, 15 boards, 6 assists, 2 steals, 6 blocks, and 2 turnovers.  He legit has a whole win share in this series with Bogi and Trae.  So proud of his improvement man.  Does he wanna help build something special or go get starter’s money for some dumpster fire is the question.  I’m going with the former.

I just gotta say, the power of those MLK jerseys are so great that the team even won on a nationally televised game on a major network. That never happens!

Wow what a win! Trae is a m&thaf$ckin SUPERSTAR. The parts around him have been equally great. Our D was swarming and our O was unselfish. Excellent win fellas! Way to go together!
