Big Bucks game on Thursday. Home game as well as nationally televised on TNT. The Bucks will conclude a 9/10 road trip with us in Atlanta on Thursday and they’ve dropped 3/4 to allow us to creep within 4 games of them with 17 to go. Bud, Teague (familiar faces) and the freak might be feeling nice and sluggish and in for a ball swinging surprise.(lw3’s fav) Let’s introduce the new Hawks to the nation on Thursday shall we

Giannis has been out of the lineup lately, and they don't have a timetable for his return. He probably misses our game.

Bucks also have a back to back from Minny to Atlanta as well so they may have to manage some other guy's minutes either tonight or against us tomorrow.

This season is brutal for a lot of teams. We know first hand.

Nah, last year was definitely a fluke, won't be making back to the Finals anytime soon. Having said that they could be a top three caliber team if fully healthy.

A lot of their roster haven’t proven themselves capable of staying healthy in the past or the current season so health is never a given.

As is, their schedule down the stretch is packed due to Covid rescheduling.  If they don’t find a way to perfectly walk that tight rope between resting players and winning games, plus the potential play-in games, they can easily go from being a nightmare matchup for a higher seed to a wounded animal needing to be put down.

That is a good comparison when you think about it.

statistically they match up very evenly too. the problem was we tried to build around JJ but here bogdan is the 2nd or 3rd best player on the team.

Without the whole bubble situation last year there is no chance they make the finals IMO. Milwaukee was not the same team at all after the continuation of the season, a lot of teams missed key players while the Heat were completely whole. Not shitting on them because I think they are 55ish win team in a full 82 game season, but they aren't finals caliber either.

You mean rookies don't improve their defense in the next season and no Dunn?

Dunn???? The guy who hasn't played a single second and may never play again for all we know?

Without Clint on this team we are not even a play-in team. We can live without Collins, without Hunter, and evidently without Trae Young. If we were missing Clint all year we are fighting the Bulls for the tenth spot right now assuming we still make the coaching change.

I kinda have to agree with that. Also, by playoff time teams will have more people in the stands and that will start to give back home court advantage.  The Heat benefitted extremely from the isolated bubble atmosphere. Heir young shooters did not have any distractions as they were launching threes.

This is def true, but this team has been without its best perimeter defenders for most of the season.  If you have a Cam, Hunter, and Dunn on the perimeter, the defense won't suck as much when Capela isn't on the floor.

What's a "Dunn"? Never saw one before.
