I think this is the problem.  We're still trying to evaluate the Luka Trade.  I am happy with what we got from the Luka Trade.  I would take Trae over and over again from that Luka trade.   I'm tired of FANS running back to the Luka trade everytime we don't like something that happened with the Hawks.

Here's the real deal... Luka is just a stat filler.  Period.  He's out of shape.  He's a primadonna.    And the biggest thing.. He's not a leader.

Say what you will about Trae, Trae puts the whole city on his back and he leads.  He's never hit the floor out of shape.  He's a primadonna but nowhere near what we see in Luka.   Here's my big finish:  Luke will never lead a team to the conference finals.

Luka will always have great stats but he's no Dirk..

Bottom line:

We got who we got.  It wasn't a bad deal because we got the best player for us.

Luka and Trae play the same style. The difference is Luka plays better off the ball offensively, he's much bigger, he plays much better defense especially team defense, he doesn't have the low floor within games Trae has, and he's a million times easier to build around as he doesn't require such special pieces around him to win games in this league.

They are very easy to compare and Luka is definitely a better player. He might not have the highs Trae is capable of but he doesn't have no where near the same lows either.

Atlanta fans will be bias as Dallas fans will be but it's obvious now that this deal was a mistake and it currently haunts the Hawks.

And yet, Luka hasn't made it out of the 1st round despite having THJ who can put up a ton of points. KP, who is 7+ feet and unguardable at times. And had a coach that won a NBA championship ... that he helped to run out of town.

Dallas is a good enough team to survive a prolonged Luka absence. That team actually played great w/o Luka.

The Hawks can't even have 1 rotation player out of the lineup.

If people want the ball out of Trae's hands at the end of games, either someone else on the team needs to step up as a closer, or we need to trade for one.

The Cam trade is creating troll behavior. Guys are turning on our players, organization, and fans.  Saying crazy shit like a teenager throwing a tantrum.
Amazingly Cam was full of mistakes and inconsistency, but now we are turning on Trae for his imperfections learning to put a franchise on his back.  Trae has had some bad moments lately, but he has earned patience from me.  He has to figure out closing games, but I’m not giving up on Trae.

You think these Hawks would have beat the Clippers in the playoffs?

Like Matt Ryan fans do with the Falcons, you can criticize ANYBODY except the two Ices,  Trae and Matt.   My post was really about Travis Schlenk and his decisions, but they launched in on the Trae part.  You know why?  Because they KNOW Trae is the problem, but they gonna defend him till the end.   One guy ADMITTED that Trae doesn't close games.  He doesn't close games because he plays HERO BALL. PERIOD.  The guy isn't a team player.  John Collins has complained about the offense being built around Trae and he is getting PAID to play for the Hawks.  Not anyone of us.  Thats why the Trae fans are not complaining about John leaving.😀

And the Cam part that guy posted,  if anybody turned on anybody, it was Cam because HE WANTED OUT OF ATLANTA.

If Trae defended other players as well as his STANBASE defends him the team would be a lot better 🤣

And lol @ thinking being critical of Trae means you're trolling lol. I'm a grown man, leave that immature bullshit for other high schoolers

After that terrible 1st quarter, the Hawks awoke and played like last season's team.  That was great!

Heat closed the 3rd quarter on a run and Hawks then held serve until late in the game.  Then our nerves gave way.  The Heat got to them.  Missed shots.  Couldn't get the ball into the court.  Bounced the ball off his foot for another turnover.

0017 got robbed.  He gets rookie foul calls.  We know this.  But, come on.  Some of the calls against him were completely bias.  Trae let his mouth over ride his common sense and he got a teck foul.  One free point to the heat.  No Cam tonight so maybe we get a home win.  That's way past due.

Bench turned things around in the 2nd quarter!  Great offense and defense!

Will Capela play tonight?  Looking for Kevin Knox.  Hope we're far enough ahead late so that he gets a few minutes.  Wouldn't that be great.

GO ATL HAWKS !!

🥰

Do you think the Mavs would have beaten the Sixers in the playoffs? The Sixers crushed the Mavs everytime they played them last season because Simmons gave Luka the business.

Playing teams in back to back playoffs is helpful for you when they have mostly the same team.

Look what the Bucks did to Miami.

It's been a minute since the Hawks had a chance to actually compete to win a game, leading going into the 4th.

Unfortunately the 4th quarter woes from earlier in the season reared it's ugly head. Less than 20 points in a quarter isn't gonna cut it.

Late game execution has to be better, loosen those sphincters.

If we play like we did last night with Capela in the rotation we can get back to .500

I hope so....If, If, If,....tired of saying that in regards to all these injuries and not having the lineups we were expected to have. Sigh.

Why does it seem that our SG/SF both never have good/great scoring games at the SAME TIME. It's always one or the other struggling with shooting. Sigh.

Yeah, last night was simply a loss.  Nothing more.  Timing forces us to tie it in with the recent struggles but last night was different.

Team played markedly better starting in the 2nd.

A sarcastic comment was made regarding improved chemistry now that the Cam situation is settled.  But truthfully the chemistry was indeed tangibly better and it was obvious to anyone with unbiased eyes.

Hope they keep it up.

Idk. More than likely, they probably would have beat them and the Knicks as we did.
