This is true... but you can't judge us based on a Road Trip against the West Best teams with several back to backs.    I think that now that we are playing "Faster", we can start to settle into our roles a lot better.  This balanced scoring doesn't have anything to do with home cooking.

I don't like how we played down the stretch, but.....is a win. Earlier in the season this kind of play would have been a loss.

Huerter with the big 3, then finally Cam with an even bigger 3, followed up by the JC . In the words of @Jody23 unto the next one.

That’s 4 baby!!! Capela was a monster. 10-11 FG, 20/15, Huerter was nice, Collins worked and nice contributions from Cam and Gallo!

You are welcome and thanks. It was very itchy tonight. I think the jersey was confused as to what to do. I complained about it to Mrs. Sothron and she said don't you dare take that jersey or those Converses off until the game is over.

Cam with better defense the past few games.  I'm glad he's stepping up while Hunter's out.  He was closing out on shooters excellently tonight and taking less gambles.

But he's not a top 10 wing defender in the league, like we Hawks fans try to make him out to be.  Man defense is definitely the best part of his game.

3 things I’d like to mention:

- cam has been looking good again as he continues coming off the bench. I like this role for cam right now as he builds his consistency. It truly is perfect for him.

-Huerter and Bogi continue to show why they are the wing starters and it’s no question trae need these kind of shooters around him. Not to mention their defense ain’t been too bad either.

-It’s clear that capela is the defensive anchor, leader, #1 defender on this team…we had our own fans bashing him earlier but it was always clear that he was going through an injury….fast-forward to these recent games and we are seeing healthy capela that looks like last years version DPOY candidate capela. Yup pretty obvious that if he’s hurt we are going to struggle defensively as a team and it’s simple as that but glad he’s feeling good now and that the Achilles soreness has gotten better.

Happy to get the W tonight and continue our streak.  Looked like a collapse was brewing but we pulled it out nicely and stretched it to a 10 point victory.  Loved the offensive flow this game... defense still needs some work as we are missing on help in the paint and missing rotations too often, but it feels like we're getting better.  It will be interesting to see how OO/Hunter work into these rotations in a couple months.  We have so many contributors right now... feels like we play better when guys feel secure about getting minutes, not sure if there's a psychological component in there.

• Capela looked like he had some touch around the rim today, clay hands instead of brick hands tonight.
• Cam continues to find himself on offense, 7/13 with 2 of the misses end of quarter heaves
• JC is looking solid.  I loved how different guys were finding him on mismatches tonight.  We're doing a much better job finding guys that have their defenders sealed and even coming over the top when they switch smalls onto JC/Gallo/Cap
• Trae had a quiet game tonight, didn't play that well but didn't hurt us -- his bad games are getting less and less bad.  He's getting better defensively.
• Bogi had a quiet game as well, felt good that the rest of our guys picked up the shooting slack from our starting guards
• Heurter is playing so nicely within our offense.  He's starting to make great cuts and we're starting to find him more often.
• I like Nate's rotations right now.  Capela overlapping with the 2nd unit is working out nice and it gives us a "small" lineup with JC/Gallo front court that's finding some success.

It was noted, not so much still injured but it was more a matter of conditioning after missing training camp and preseason.

Shoutout JC for being a reliable go-to option down the stretch. It's good for Trae to have someone to lean on in game tight situations.

I'm talking about on the block in an iso situation. He had an alright postgame, but wasn't as quick or decisive with it as he is now.

Not to mention he made a quick read to get Kev the ball at the top of the key for 3, it was almost a reflex and didn't have a lot of thought into it.

Late in the 4th quarter, Hornets "suddenly" began to play pressing defense and scoring.  Hawks stumbled.  But they didn't fall down.  They regained their balance and pulled away.  Whew!  That was scary for a minute.  

Team.  Atlanta has looked like a team again!  More than one hero last night.  And, any of you Hawks lurking around the Squawk, we are proud of you!  

0017, if you can come back in December, it's not long now.  Stay out until you heal up.  Don't need you to come back too early and have you miss a lot more games.  We really need you later in the season.
